Koen Geens
Koen Geens (born 22 January 1958 in Brasschaat) is a Belgian, Flemish politician and member of the Christian Democratic and Flemish Party (CD&V).
Political career[edit]
From 2007 to 2009, Koen Geens served as chief of staff to the Flemish minister-president Kris Peeters. When Steven Vanackere resigned in March 2013 as Minister of Finance, Koen Geens was appointed as his successor. In 2014 he was elected member of the Chamber of Representatives.
Education[edit]
Geens studied at UFSIA and the KU Leuven, where he received his law degree in 1980. Later, Geens studied at Harvard University where he received an LL.M.
