Konstantinos Dermitzakis

Konstantinos Dermitzakis was born in Episkopi Ierapetras, Crete in 1953. He is a Greek politician and Pharmacist.

Political Career[edit]

During his years as a student in Palermo, he was appointed as director of the Hellenic Students Democratic Association of Palermo. He is currently vice president of the Pharmaceutical Association of the Lasithi County and a representative of the National Pharmaceutical Association. He is a member of the SYNASPISMOS (Coalition of the Radical Left)since 1989 and was also a member of parliaments’ candidate during its first elections. Formerly, he has also worked in Ierapetra as a district counsellor, a deputy mayor, president of the city council and president of the Municipal Cultural Office.

Education Career[edit]

Konstantinos Dermitzakis, studied Pharmacy in Palermo, Italy. He speaks English and Italian.

Notable Work[edit]

Kostis Dermitzakis was an active member and partner of all local newspapers editorial board as well as at the literary magazine ‘Ierapetritiki apopira’ for many years. He has also presented a series of poems called as ‘a journey to Greek poetry’ via broadcasting. He published two poetry collections and short stories book. Many of his literary works have received numerous awards in Greece as well as internationally and have also been published in various literary magazines.
