Martin Brandes

Martin Brandes is currently working at the Kwetu Film Institute as a senior advisor in International Cooperation and as the Kigali based coordinator of the RWANDA MEDIA PROJECT. He works in the Kwetu Film Institute on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of International Development Cooperation (BMZ).
Martin Brandes is responsible for the Rwanda (Kwetu) Film Institute's International Cooperation and Relationships especially in the fields of education, production and economy. His work is aimed at strengthening the Institute's educational and administrative structures and coordinating the efforts of the foreign film and media professionals, lecturers and teachers.
Previously he lived in China for a long period. Based in Beijing, he worked as an integrated german CIM expert in the position of Senior Advisor on International Cooperation and Coproduction for the national Chinese TV system at the office of the Secretary General of the national Chinese Documentary Film Commission.
