Natalija Martinčević

Natalija Martinčević was born on 1 May 1975 in Varaždin, Croatia. She is an independent representative in the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor).

Political Career[edit]

In 2002 Martinčević started her political career by joining the Croatian People's Party. From 2005 to 2011 she was a member of the Varaždin City Council, and from 2007 to 2009 she was a chairperson of the HNS's Women's Initiative in the Varaždin County. In 2011 she became the Deputy Mayor of the city of Varaždin. Her mandate in the Croatian Parliament began on 22 December 2011. On 11 March 2014 Martinčević ceased to be the member of Croatian People's Party - Liberal Democrates and commenced performing MP duties as an independent member of the Parliament. She is a member of the Petitions and Appeals Committee. Previously, she was a member of the Executive Committee of the National Group to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a member of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and a member of the Committee on the Economy.

Education[edit]

Martinčević completed a two-year post secondary school programme of Administrative Law at the Požega Polytechnic.
