Nikolaos Syrmalenios
Nikolaos Syrmalenios was born in Milos in 1950. He is a Greek politician and Economist.
Political Career[edit]
He was elected MP to the Cyclades prefecture, in the elections of May and June 2012. He worked as an employee of the Ministry of Economy and, and has worked in the areas of public investment and regional development.
Education Career[edit]
He is an economist, political scientist and a graduate of the University of Bologna (Italy). He speaks Italian.
Notable Work[edit]
Over the last 20 years he has dealt with the problems of the Greek islands, the Cyclades and of his homeland, Milos.
He was elected as Regional Councillor to the prefecture of Aegean, and from 2002 to 2010, he served as Counsellor for the Prefecture of Cyclades, he was Co-Head of Cycladic Initiative and was editor of "Cycladic Sea Routes".
