Phillipe Adnot
Philippe Adnot has been a member of the Senate of France for the constituency of Aube since 1989. He is part of the Administrative Meeting for Senators not on the List of another Group (RASNAG).
Biography[edit]
Philippe Adnot was born in 1945. Since 1989 he has been re-elected twice, in 1998 and in 2008. He has also been secretary of the Senate and a member of the High Council of Public Sector.
Roles[edit]
In 1998 and 2008, he was re-elected to the Senate in the first round.
Having contributed to the creation of the University of Technology of Troyes, in 1998 he was made the first Vice President of the University board, of which he is currently the President. He is a member of the Senate's committee on the laws relating to the freedoms and responsibilities of Universities. During his time in the senate, his roles included being a member of the Finance Commission, a member of the Study Board on alimentary agriculture economy, fungi-culture and energy, and a member of the Common Mission on information about the new role and the new strategy for EU in the governance of internet.
Furthermore, he served as a member of the Committee for Monitoring the Law on Freedom and Responsibilities of Universities, as well as a member of the National Council of Superior Education and Research. He is also the President of the General Council of the constituency of Aube.
