Robert Van de Velde
Robert Van de Velde was born on February 14th 1967 in Antwerp (Belgium). He is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish nationalist party (N-VA). He is also an alderman in Antwerp.
Political Career[edit]
Robert Van de Velde started his political career in 2007 as a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, when he replaced his former party fellow Jurgen Verstrepen who went to the Flemish Parliament. At the time, he was member of the Flemish libertine party (LDD), for which he sat in the Belgian Parliament until 2010. Then, he switched to N-VA, the Flemish nationalist party, and he became secretary of the N-VA group in the Chamber of Representatives. Since 2013 he has also held a seat in the council of Antwerp, and he became alderman for public planning and urban development.
