Vesna Želježnjak
Vesna Želježnjak was born 10 January 1958 in Imbriovac, Croatia. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP; Croatian: Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske) and has been a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor) during its seventh term.
Political Career[edit]
Želježnjak was a member of the Virovitica City Council between 2001 and 2009. Also, she was a member of the Main Committee of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) between 2010 and 2012. She has held the post of Deputy Mayor of the City of Koprivnica since 2009. Želježnjak’s term in the Croatian Parliament began on 18 January 2012 as Marija Lugarić's substitute. Her term of office ceased on 26 October 2012 upon termination of the suspension of Marija Lugarić’s term of office. Želježnjak's term of office began again on 26 October 2012, this time as Boris Šprem's substitute. She is a member of the Committee on the Economy and a member of the Petitions and Appeals Committee.

Želježnjak graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade in Zagreb, having majored in economics.
