Yalta Conference
The Yalta Conference took place during February 4-11, 1945 in the Russian city of Yalta. The Heads of State of the USA, UK and of the Soviet Union, respectively Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin, gathered together to discuss the post-war \\ geopolitical structure of Europe. The agreements signed determined the political shape of Europe for the next 45 years, with the Soviet Union guaranteeing the democratic functioning of the Eastern European countries.
